Join us this Wednesday, July 9th, 2014, at 6:00 PM, for another Wednesday Night Training Ride!
The Wednesday group will be riding out of Kirkwood Park tennis
courts parking lot again (image of parking location below). Please try to be there 10-15 minutes early so we can be rolling
by 6pm. We had a great group last week of 12 riders and a couple new UBD
attendees that joined us for the first time this year, so it’s never too late
to come out and make your inaugural Wednesday ramble.
This is a no drop ride that averages 16-18mph on a
typical night and takes us on 26 miles of mostly rolling terrain on the roads
from Kirkwood to Chesterfield and back. As the heat and humidity rise,
there is always the option of a slightly shorter route of about 22 miles you
can take if you’re just not feeling it on a given night. Afterwards,
there is a chance we will stick around for beer and Gatorade while we catch our
breath and replenish those fluids. Route map of the typical route is

While the Tuesday night ride has proven to be a great
opportunity for all levels of cyclists to get out on a dedicated bike trail, we
wanted to offer the Wednesday night Kirkwood ride to those looking for a higher
tempo workout. It’s always a no drop ride so nobody will be left behind,
but it’s important you be comfortable cycling in a group on the roads.
