Join us this Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 6:00 PM, for another Wednesday Night Training Ride!
We will be riding out of Kirkwood Park tennis courts parking lot in Kirkwood, MO. This is a no drop ride that averages 16-18mph on a typical night and takes on 26 miles of mostly rolling terrain on the roads from Kirkwood to Chesterfield and back. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to make sure you don't miss the group.
With the heat index getting north of 100F for the first time this week, there is the option of a slightly shorter route of about 22 miles you can take if you’re just not feeling it on a given night. Afterwards, there is always the chance we will stick around for beer and Gatorade while we catch our breath. Route map of the typical route is below, the 22 mile route knocks off about 4 miles on the out and back on Outer 40:
While
our Tuesday night rides have proven to be a great opportunity for all levels of
cyclists to get out on a dedicated bike trail, we wanted to offer the Wednesday
night Kirkwood ride to those looking for a higher tempo workout. It’s
always a no drop ride so nobody will be left behind, but it’s important you be
comfortable cycling in a group on the roads.
