2012 Tour de Wildwood - 8/26/2012

Join team United by Design on Sunday, August 26, 2012, for the 2012 Tour de Wildwood!  We will meet near the registration booth and head out no later than 8:00AM.


Registration: 7:30 – 9:00 AM
Start: Lafayette High School
17050 Clayton Rd.
Wildwood, MO 63011
Route: 22, 36 or 45 miles
Terrain: Moderately hilly to very hilly, with big hills on all routes
Features: The tour includes a scenic pedal through hilly west St. Louis County. Helmets are required on this ride, which is recommended for experienced cyclists.
Directions: From I-40/64 and MO-340/Clarkson Rd. (exit 19B), turn left onto Clarkson Rd./Olive Blvd./MO-340 West. Continue on Clarkson Rd./MO-340 West. Turn right onto Clayton Rd./MO-HH and proceed 3.2 miles to Lafayette High School on the left.
Fees: $5 Member, $10 Non-member

2012 Fundraising Breakfast for MS!

Lawrence Group is holding its 7th annual Bike MS Fundraising Breakfast to support the United by Design Bike MS team. The team is riding in the Bike MS: Express Scripts Gateway Getaway Ride 2012 charity ride in Columbia, MO, on September 8th & 9th. Come and enjoy some of your breakfast favorites prepared by United by Design team members and Lawrence Group volunteers. We will also have a raffle with great prizes!

The proceeds from the Breakfast will go towards the team’s fundraising goal and goes directly to the National MS Society and helps fund cutting edge research, professional education, fundraising, and local programming to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.

2012 Fundraising Happy Hour for MS!

The United by Design Bike MS Team is hosting its annual Happy Hour fundraiser at Café Pintxos in Hotel Ignacio on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012.  There will be food and drink specials the entire night!

Weekend Training Ride - 8/11/2012

Join us this Saturday morning for another weekend training ride at The HUB bike shop in Webster Groves, MO. We will meet at the bike shop at 7:30am and will head out at 7:45 AM after The Hub's 7:30AM fast team ride but before their 8:00AM regular ride.  We will ride at a moderate pace and the ride is no-drop.  You can do an 18 mile route, the full 30 mile loop, or go out to Chesterfield Valley for around 50 miles.  Below is an image of the 30 mile route map and link on MapMyRide.com.  Only 29 more days until the 2012 Bike MS: Express Scripts Gateway Getaway ride!

Weekday Training Ride - 7/31/2012

Join us this Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 5:30pm, for another Tuesday Night Training Ride and help us give one of the hottest July's on record a proper send off.

We will be riding in downtown St. Louis on the St. Louis Riverfront Trail. We will ride to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and back for around 22 miles.  It is a nice and easy ride whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned rider.  Join us for all or part of the ride.

We will meet at the trailhead next to the Laclede Power Center and will leave at 5:30PM SHARP.  Please contact Tom Bahr (tom.bahr@thelawrencegroup.com) if you have any questions or if you plan on joining. Weekend Training Ride - 7/14/2012

Come join us for another weekend training ride this Saturday (7/14/2012) in Columbia, IL, along a popular 38 mile route that begins with rolling hills and ends in a flat flood plain.  You can add or delete miles at certain intersections.

Meet in front of Tequila's Mexican Restaurant at the Columbia Market Place.  We will leave at 7:30AM sharp to try and beat the heat.  After the ride, join us at Tequila's for Mexican food and margaritas to cool off!
